Nancy O'Dell (born Nancy Evelyn Humphries , February 25, 1966) is an American television host and television journalist. She is the host of entertainment syndication news Entertainment Tonight, after joining the show on January 3, 2011. In May 2013, she received an honorary Doctor of Humanities degree from Clemson University.

O'Dell was born in Sumter, South Carolina, and moved to Myrtle Beach as a baby. He has a sister. Careers

O'Dell began his broadcasting career as a reporter and anchor at WPDE-TV in his hometown of Myrtle Beach, South Carolina. He then worked as a morning newsreader and crime reporter at WCBD-TV in Charleston, South Carolina. While there, his report on a soft police approach to the DUI case led to the investigation of the State Law Enforcement Division that resulted in the authorities issuing more stringent directives to such cases. He is honored by the Associated Press with the Best Report Award of the Year (all media, South Carolina). In 1993, he joined NBC's WTVJ in Miami, taking part in the 5:30 pm news with Jackie Nespral. O'Dell left the station in 1995 to move to Las Vegas with her first husband. There he worked as an entertainment reporter for the national syndicated tabloid event A Current Affair until the show ended in 1996.

Access Hollywood (1996-2009)

O'Dell joined the entertainment entertainment news program Access Hollywood when the program debuted in 1996. In addition to his work as Access Hollywood 's main anchor, O'Dell contributed to NBC News today Today and NBC's Dateline . On January 13, 2008, after the 65th Annual Golden Globe Celebration was canceled as a result of the 2007-08 Writers Guild strike, she hosted NBC's 65th Annual Golden Globe Prize Winner with Access Hollywood co-anchor Billy Bush.

In 2009, O'Dell hosted a pre-NBC event for the 66th Annual Golden Party with Tiki Barber and Brooke Burke. She plays herself in the three-episode "Hannah Montana" episode of "Cheat It". He also appeared on the Fox Brothers' sitcom, and in the same year he and Maria Menounos hosted the WWE Raw on October 12th. O'Dell will participate in the eighth season of Dancing with the Stars, paired with professional dancer Tony Dovolani, but must retreat before the season begins after injuring his knee during training; his successor is Melissa Rycroft. O'Dell underwent an arthroscopic surgery to repair a meniscus tear in his knee on March 20, 2009.

O'Dell's departure from Access Hollywood was announced in December 2009. He left the show with two years left on his contract.

On June 22, 2010, O'Dell held a Nashville Rising concert to provide flood relief for the inhabitants of Nashville, following a flood in May of that year. He shares hosting duties with Tim McGraw and Faith Hill.

Entertainment Tonight (2011-present ))

On January 3, 2011, O'Dell joined Entertainment Tonight as a special correspondent, and he replaced Mary Hart as a co-anchor after Hart left the show in May 2011. Personal life

O'Dell married Dr. Richard O'Dell from September 30, 1995, until November 4, 2004. In 2005, he married Keith Zubchevich, and he was stepmother to his two sons, Tyler and Carson. O'Dell gave birth to their daughter, Ashby Grace, in 2007, at Cedars-Sinai Medical Center in Los Angeles. She said unexpected and surprising changes occurred to her body during pregnancy that prompted her to write a parenting book, Full of Life . He is the National ALS Ambassador of the Association of Muscular Dystrophy. In September 2016, O'Dell filed for a legal separation from Zubchevich. In November 2017, the couple filed for divorce.

In May 2013, O'Dell received a Honorary Doctorate of Humanities from Clemson University. At the ceremony, he talks with other graduates, encouraging them to never give up in pursuit of their dreams: "I decided that I would rather fail to do something I love than to be successful doing something that would just be something ridiculous...] My hope for you all is that you will do the same.
