Sidehatch Entertainment Group (SEG) is a Boston-based music company with brands in concert and festival promotion, marketing, industry consulting, tour bus rentals, software development and client-based services including presentation, performance, and organization.

SEG was founded in 2004 by Ben Maitland-Lewis, while attending Berklee College of Music.
Past SEG clients include Wilco, Newport Folk Festival, Daniel Lanois, Piebald, The PTown Festival, Boston Urban Music Project and Bowery Presents.

Internet radio podcasts available on iTunes featuring music from SEG artists, interviews with major and professional label artists like Fat Mike (NOFX), Bryn Bennett, (Bang Camaro), and Enter Shikari.
Grease Bus
The SEG crew overhauled a 19-passenger shuttle bus, creating an environmentally friendly oil-fueled tour bus, allowing the band to ride on the road while avoiding the cost of gas prices.
Voice and Video Production
The SEG office, located in Charlestown, Boston, shares living space and recording studios frequented by local Boston as well as tour activities.
Indie ambassador
Founded in 2009 by Ben Maitland-Lewis and Chris Cave of Sidehatch, Ambassador Indie is a software development company currently in pre-beta, scheduled to be launched in 2011 with a new platform aimed at independent artists. Although not yet released, the platform is 'intended to create a horizontal playing field for bands that want to do business.'
Indie Ambassador TV
Indie Ambassador TV, YouTube channel and internet blog presented by Ambassador Indie (see above), is designed to showcase the performances and interviews of various artists representing the growing trend for independence in the entertainment industry.
Apprenticeship Program
Ben Maitland-Lewis and Christopher Thomas from Sidehatch Entertainment lead the Class 8 Academy apprenticeship program (in addition to college degree apprenticeship) at the à ¢ â, Ã
"CD Businessà ¢ â,¬. They teach students the basics of creating a Business Plan, a Marketing Plan, how to identify their target audience, promote projects, and produce CDs for sale to their local communities and businesses. The money earned from this exercise is invested through the Summit Group and goes to the Alumni Scholarship Fund for student tuition fees.
