History

Construction begins in 2012. After several successful negotiations for land to build attractions, created under the name WF IDrive Realty, the development of the roller coaster and Skyplex begins. In May 2014, a website asking investors to invest in the project was formed.

Wallack Holdings LLC also developed US $ 50,000 Mango's Tropical Cafe, a retail complex, and a parking garage at the southwest corner of the Skyplex intersection that will be located.

The complex is designed by Helman Hurley Charvat Peacock/Architects Inc. Winter Park Construction Company has been selected as general contractor. Euforria LLC will provide construction management and pre construction services.

On December 1, 2015, the Orange County Board of Commissioners unanimously approved the resignation of the project. The project faces lobbying against it by the Save Our Orange County Community, a group backed primarily by Universal Orlando. Universal's main issue with this project is that Skyscraper can damage the line of sight of their garden, especially from The Wizarding World of Harry Potter, and the fact that Universal is not allowed to build anything over 200 feet (61 m).

In April 2017, a portion of the roller coaster track was completed by Intamin and was in storage, but the start of construction in Orlando was delayed pending approval of the permit.
