Vizio Inc. is a privately owned American company that develops consumer electronics. Headquartered in Irvine, California, USA, the company was founded in October 2002 as VÃ, Inc. and is best known as a manufacturer of flat-screen televisions.

History
The company was founded in 2002 as V Inc. by Taiwan-American entrepreneurs William Wang, Laynie Newsome, and Ken Lowe with $ 600,000 and three employees.
