Bookmans , officially known as Bookmans Entertainment Exchange , is the largest used second-hand book retailer based in Arizona. Founded in 1976 by Bob Oldfather, who is the current president of the company. In addition to books, the store also sells magazines, CDs, DVDs, electronics, video games, Musical Instruments. The six stores have free access to Wi-Fi Internet. Bookman's stores are located in Tucson, Mesa, Phoenix and Flagstaff.
Bookmans is a member of the American Booksellers Association and the American Booksellers Foundation for Free Expressions. The company is known for its annual reading competition open to Arizona elementary schools, called Reader Reading Challenges . The company sponsors, among others, Arizona Derby Dames, Late Night Cult Classics series at The Loft Cinema and HoCo Record Festival at Hotel Congress.
