The Tahoe Icemen is a jock hockey team of Amateur Athletic Union-based sanctions in South Lake Tahoe, California. The Icemen currently plays in the North West Hockey League West Division. The home game takes place in the South Lake Tahoe Ice Arena.
The team was founded by Chris Collins in 2012 as a Bay Area Seals and is played at the Cow Palace in Daly City, California. After scheduling the issue of continuous use of Cow Palace as a home arena, the franchise was moved to South Lake Tahoe to start the 2013-14 season with help from Greg Jamison, former President and CEO of San Jose Sharks National Hockey League, and Van Oleson, owner of Tahoe Sports Entertainment (who runs the South Lake Tahoe Ice Arena).

Bay Area Seals (2012-2013)
After starting the first season the team saw them win only 3 wins in their first 18 games, Segel will end strong and earn second place in the Pacific Division and their first Thorne Cup playoff appearance. The Seals will make a strong playoff but will miss the Thorne Cup Championship match to Idaho Jr. Steelheads with a final score of 2-4.
By ending as runner-up in the playoffs, Segel is invited to become the second WSHL representative (along with Jr Steelheads) in the 2013 Hokkies Championship National Championships. In three round-robin rounds in this tournament, the Seals will lose against Lake George Fighting Spirit from the Northern Hockey League (NSHL) before beating Hartland Hounds and Tennyson Chevrolet, both from the Midwest Junior Hockey League (MWJHL), to continue into the semifinals of the tournament. They defeated the Syracuse Stampede NSHL before losing the UHU National Championship to Steelheads Jr. with a score of 1-5.
Lake Tahoe (2013-present)
The team will move to South Lake Tahoe and call themselves Lake Tahoe Blue for the 2013-14 season after owner Chris Collins sold the team to Tahoe Hockey Partners, LLC. Collins continued as general manager of the team for the rest of the season. After the sub-season 2013-14 season, Collins will be replaced by Michael Richardson, who has also been hired as head coach, while Spencer Jamison, son of Greg Jamison, will take over the presidency. The 2014-15 season will also put Blue out of the playoff position.
On April 20, 2015, it was announced that the team had changed its name to Tahoe Icemen . On May 4, 2015, Icemen announced the recruitment of Tom Maroste as head coach and general manager for the 2015-16 season. After one season, where Icemen only won two matches, Maroste was replaced by a former professional hockey player, Mickey Lang.
