Heritage USA is the American Christian-themed water park, theme park and residential complex in Fort Mill, South Carolina built by televangelist Jim Bakker and his wife Tammy Faye Bakker, founder of PTL Club (short for "Praise of God").

The park, which occupies 2,300 hectares (9.3 km 2 ; 3.6 m²), was built by church builder Roe Messner. Images of the park, including a water park called Heritage Island, can still be accessed online. Since the close of 1989, projects have been built on land once occupied, parts have been sold to several companies.

The previous Heritage USA facility at Fort Mill, South Carolina, purchased by MorningStar Fellowship Church in 2004, was renamed Heritage International Ministries (H.I.M.).

Rebuilding attempt

In 1991, Heritage USA property was bought for $ 52 million by San Diego evangelist Morris Cerullo in partnership with Malaysian investment group MUI Group (Malayan United Industries Berhad). In January 2006, 24-hour prayer service opened in former Heritage USA. Musicians and prayer leaders formed the Zadok House of Prayer (ZHOP) after moving from the International House of Prayer in Kansas City. In April 2009, ZHOP vacated the land, and the building where their ministry, the former PTL warehouse complex, was sold to MorningStar Fellowship Church. It is now the MorningStar K-12 private school, Comenius School of Creative Leadership (CSCL). Legacy

Warehouse & amp; PTL Studios

Coulston entered into a lease/purchase agreement in April 2009 with The Broadcast Group, a multimedia production and training company founded in 1986 by former PTL Television Network executive, Dr. Dale Hill, for part of the property that includes the former Barn auditorium, Total Learning Center and PTL Television Network Studio. The studio production facility was renamed "The Broadcast Group Complex". Former PTL Television Studios and adjacent Integrated Learning Center complex were almost immediately renovated and reopened after the closing of the lease/purchase agreement in 2009. The Auditorium Warehouse was completed in April 2012 and the facility was reopened and named "Warehouse at Regent Park".

In February 2014, The Broadcast Group abruptly relocated their operations from buildings to a nearby office park at Fort Mill and shortly after it was announced that all the surrounding 18-acre buildings and properties had been acquired by Antioch International Church, which operates from a converted/renovated PTL converted warehouse near Heritage Grand Hotel, for $ 3.81 million on April 24, 2014; according to tax records of York County, South Carolina. Antioch moved their church to a property on 8400 Regent Parkway and now uses the former Audit Warehouse as their new home church. Heritage Grand Hotel redevelopment

The Heritage Grand Hotel has been completely refurbished and continues to be used as a hotel and conference center. Some hotel rooms have been combined and converted into private condominia; partly now known as Heritage Court & amp; Heritage Suite. The hotel's atrium is used as a church by the local MorningStar congregation. While the hotel is still known as the Heritage Grand Hotel, the residential complex, shops and conference areas have been renamed Heritage International Ministries (HIM). King Castle Demolition

On March 19, 2013, developer Earl Coulston, who has bought many former Heritage USA properties, began destroying "The King's Castle", an abandoned arcade and a go-kart track originally intended to be the world's largest Wendy restaurant house. The building was being built at Bakkers' departure in the late 1980s; construction stops when Heritage USA enters bankruptcy and payments to Roe Messner's contractors are suspended. The castle was later completed by the new owner of Heritage USA, Regent Carolina Corporation (f/k/a New Heritage Carolina Corporation), a subdidiary of MUI Corporation of Malaysia. It was used for several years as an arcade and go-kart track before it closed and fell into collapse and neglect.

Coulston jointly owns a building with the neighboring MorningStar Student Church as its property line runs through the back of the building. MorningStar originally wanted the castle to be renovated and used as a youth center, but then decided that it had been too much tampered with and repaired too much to fix. Coulston approached MorningStar and offered to pay the demolition fee because it was partly on his property and adjacent to a nearby residential complex he developed. Jerusalem Amphitheater/King's Arena

The property includes "Jerusalem Amphitheater" (also known as "King's Arena") and the campsite is owned by Earl Coulston. The campground has been renovated and is now known as Crown Cove RV Park. The open amphitheater has been destroyed. Most of the amphitheater was destroyed as part of Coulston's plan to retrofit with the roof and turn it into a venue for youth concerts. It never materialized and the amphitheater remained abandoned for years before it was destroyed in October 2012.
