" Just like Fire " is a song recorded by American Pink singer for the 2016 movie soundtrack, Alice Through the Looking Glass . Pink co-wrote the song with Max Martin, Shellback, and Oscar Holter, all of whom starred as a producer on the track. The song was released to a digital retailer via RCA Records on April 15, 2016 and serviced it to American adult pop radio via RCA and Walt Disney Records on April 18, 2016.

Once released, "Just like Fire" debuted in the top 50 on several international singles charts, and has peaked in the top 10 in the United States. In Australia, it reached number one in the second week and has also been certified triple platinum by ARIA.

It was nominated for a Grammy Award for Best Song Written for Visual Media.

The next day, the song was released to a digital retailer. Following the initial release, Pink topped the Twitter Twitter Trending 140 chart, which measures the acceleration of conversations around their artists and music.

Performance chart

In the United States, "Just like Fire" received 798 and 565 plays on contemporary hit radio and hot adult contemporary radio, respectively, on its first day of availability (April 15, 2016). After the official addition date (April 19, 2016 for CHR and April 18, 2016 for Hot AC), "Just like Fire" is ranked as the most-added song on Hot Air radio with 62 stations monitored by Mediabase, more than double the number the second most-added song. The song produced debuts at 38 and 27, respectively, on the Billboard Pop Songs and Adult Pop Songs chart on April 30, 2016. "Just like Fire" entering the Billboard Hot 100 at number 42 on the chart dated May 7, 2016. Since then it peaked at number 10, becoming its first top 10 since "Just Give Me a Reason" reached number one in April 2013.

The song also performs well internationally, reaching the top 10 in Australia, Hungary, and Scotland. "Just like Fire" saw its biggest commercial success in Australia, where it debuted at number 2 on the ARIA Singles Chart. The following week, the song rose to number one, giving Australia's No. 8 Pink. 1, and also got Gold certificate by ARIA. Since then it has been certified triple platinum. In Canada, the song enters the Billboard Canadian Hot 100 at number 35 on the chart of May 7, 2016.

Live performance

"Just like Fire" debuted on TV at the Billboard Music Awards 2016 on May 22, 2016, where Pink bounced over the crowd through a series of acrobatic acts. She performed the song a day later with "White Rabbit" on Jimmy Kimmel Live! .

In Swedish Idol 2016, Charlie GrÃÆ'¶nwall sang his own version of "Like Fire."

Music video

The official video for "Same As Fire" was directed by Dave Meyers and released May 8, 2016, ahead of the US premiere Alice Through the Looking Glass . This video features Pink Carey Hart's husband and their daughter. Inside, Pink is seen swinging on a silk rope hanging from the ceiling of the living room by her husband. His daughter, sitting in a nearby fireplace mantle, watched as the blue butterfly flew into the mirror above the fireplace. Her daughter followed, stepping into the mirror. Shortly afterwards, swing Pink on the rope and jump onto the mantle, stepping into the mirror as well. He arrived at a giant chessboard outside the castle. On the chessboard there was a double dress from Pink dressed like a chess piece. The double circle of Pink and the white queen pushed her. He landed on a chair at a table prepared for a tea party hanging in the air. Also sitting around the table is the Mad Hatter and his daughter. Butterfly from scratch flew around the table as Pink sang the song's bridge. Suddenly, he fell from his chair and was seen falling through the sky, stopping a few inches from the ground in the rose garden. The timer from the movie gave his daughter a clock in the background. Then, Pink begins to hallucinate scenes from the film, he's in a tight jacket, and scenes from scratch in the video. Suddenly the wound became pink in a tight jacket, taken to a mental hospital while her husband signed a release letter with the doctor, while the same butterfly followed her through the entrance.
