Tour supports

Support for the first long US tour came from Rise Against and Thursday, while in part of LostAlone's European tour and Funeral for Friends supported on multiple dates, as did Rise Against and Thursday, The Automatic was originally rumored to be playing some English dates with the band yet instead of continuing a United States tour on the Warped Tour, Muse supported on the next leg of the US tour, as did Billy Talent on some dates, except for the last two where they were replaced by Taking Back Sunday. Absences

Throughout the tour, three band members missed a certain concert as a result of various reasons. From April 18, 2007 to August 31, 2007, Matt Cortez filled in for Mikey Way on bass. The road left the tour after she married her fiancé, Alicia. For a concert in Mexico and beyond, Mikey rejoined the band. After the November 11 show at Newcastle, it was announced that Frank Iero had left the tour to return home after learning about the illness of family members. For the rest of England and international dates, Matt Cortez filled in for Iero. Bob Bryar also had to retire from the tour before the start of the UK date, after the persistent wrist pain became worse and he could not play the show. However Bob travels with the band for the rest of the tour, helping with the fireworks. He was replaced by "a friend of ours named Pete who plays in another band, who has asked us not to pronounce the name", according to Gerard Way. Bryar then returned to the tour of the group's performance in Vietnam on January 20, 2008.

Theatrical

The band's stage performances cover a variety of theater elements. As the concert began, the lights were darkened, and a large curtain alienated the stage from view. Then, Gerard Way's vocalist was pushed out in front of the curtain in the hospital gank, complete with faux IV, and sang The Black Parade opening song, "The End." As the loud and creaking chorus jumped, the singer's hospital dress was torn, showing off his black-striped uniform. Then the curtain opened to reveal the rest of the band, also in a complete costume. The costume is different from the original designed by Colleen Atwood for the band, as everything is slim and looks the same, while the previous outfits are more qualified and unique for each band member. The rest of the show included fog, confetti cannons, floodlights set on stage, "boom gun" and first use of pyrotechnics in the show. After completing the entire album sequentially, the band returned for an encore of longer material. Setting the stage for encore is the old band Revenge logo.

Stage

The stage during the Black parade mimics the album artwork. The stage is set exactly like the images of artwork featuring bands and all characters, with curtains with starry designs on the left and right, the background of the big city skyline (from the "Welcome to the Black Parade" music video), and the structure of the mansion. Bob Bryar drums are set on a large spinning platform, featuring two kits in different settings and different designs on the bass drum. On the left side of the stage is a small platform that places the spotlight that Gerard uses between the second and third choruses of "Teenagers". On the opposite side is the James Dewees keyboard. The big black curtain opened early in the show and remained pulled back during the show. Finally, the clock hung on the roof of the stage, though only for decoration and not used during the show.
